Day 11

This video came up on my Facebook page yesterday, and I thought I'd share it with you. For those who don't know him, Sogyal Rinpoché is one of France's most prominent resident Tibetan masters and a very prolific teacher. He is the internationally renowned author of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, and the founder and spiritual director of the Rigpa network.

I was initially inspired by two segments at the start of the video in particular: the first beginning at 1:15, when Rinpoché points out that the moment you look for the true nature of your mind, in that moment, you are seeing. And in the moment that you are seeing, there is liberation. This is why during meditation we have the potential to (temporarily) awaken to freedom. The second begins at around 3:10 with a description of not just why but how meditation is nothing but simple rest in the nature of mind.
